Dr. Ivonne Alvarez has 29 years of experience in the field of dentistry, including root canals, fillings, crowns, veneers, bridges, dentures, and orthodontics (braces). She graduated with first-class honors from Dental School in Santiago de Cuba in 1994.
Dr. Ivonne Alvarez attended New York University, College of Dentistry, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Diploma graduating with First-Class Honors again.
In April 2004, the Alvarez Doctors opened their first office in Little Italy of the Bronx founding Alvarez Dental Professional Corporation. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the economic downturn, it has become necessary for us to reduce our workforce. The Bronx office's site is located at 2400 Hughes Ave. Bronx, NY 10458 is closed since December 31, 2020.
In 2005 she successfully finished Tip-Edge Orthodontics Course for one year. She continues to advance his education receiving certification from The United States Dental Institute in 2010 after completing a Straight Wire Technique course; the same year where the Highland Mills location was opened. In 2015 her Invisalign certification was completed.
In striving to provide the best dental care possible, Dr. Alvarez believes in taking time to explain treatments in non-technical language; developing a strategy that takes X, Y, and Z into consideration; taking time to listen and understand each patient’s particular needs. His primary concern is to cultivate a professional environment where each patient feels comfortable, receives focused attention, and is given exceptional care.
Dr. Alvarez believes in encouraging the prevention of dental disease and associated problems. She understands the relationship between "a healthy mouth and a healthy body" and is continually educating her patients about the overall importance of maintaining optimal home care techniques and proper dietary habits.
Dr. Jesus Manuel Alvarez has 40 years of experience in the field of dentistry, including oral surgery, gum care, root canals, fillings, crowns, veneers, bridges, dentures, and preventive education.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Havana. Dr. Alvarez graduated from Dental School in Havana in 1983 and received his certification as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon from the University of Santiago de Cuba in 1994.
He attended the College of Dentistry at New York University where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery diploma in 2003. In April 2004, the Alvarez Doctors opened their first office in Little Italy of the Bronx founding Alvarez Dental Professional Corporation.
Dr. J. M. Alvarez furthered his education by completing a one-year Advanced Education in Dental Implantology at New York University in 2005.
Highland Mills location was inaugurated in 2010 and he took Digital Tomography Cone Bean in Dentistry Certification improving diagnosis of the buccal pathologies, Dental Implants, Root canals, etc.
Dr. J. M. Alvarez says, "The best part of my job is interacting with patients. I like to work in partnership with my patients, in order to design the best possible treatment outcome." He particularly enjoys Cosmetics in Dentistry, Oral Surgery, and Dental Implantology.
Since 2010 Dr. Alvarez dedicates some days to treating patients with low income in OpenDoor Family Medical Center which has a broad focus on building healthier communities in Westchester and Putnam counties.
Dr. J. M. Alvarez is currently Faculty Practice Clinical Professor at New York Medical College Dental Department Residency Program in Dentistry since 2012.
